The Newest In Carbide Endmill Configuration In A Extended And Outstanding Line From Iscar
Manufacturers and die & mold shops can abolish chatter problems in many milling operations with Iscar's completely new Chatterfree carbide endmill. The cutters' variable-pitch flute pattern banishes harmonic vibration, the principal source of chatter. This guarantees faster cutting and finer finish in rough or finish slotting, shoulder milling and cavity milling. In addition, users also report longer edge life due to reduced chatter. The chatter-free aspect is available in both solid carbide endmills and tips in Iscar's MULTI-MASTER replaceable-tip line. Diameter range is 6 to 20mm for the solid carbide endmills, and 8 to 20mm for MULTI-MASTER tips. These new endmills are excellent for reduced power machines with ISO40 or BT40 adaptations. The solid carbide variant can cope with full slot machining up to 2xD. Depth capability on the replaceable-tip version is more limited since the active length is shorter. In full slotting functions on alloy steel, the solid carbide version effectively handles 0.03-0.05 feed rates at 180-220mm/min surface speed and 2xD depth of cut.
FINISHRED - Revolutionary Solid Carbide Endmills
Iscar is introducing the EFR.. B44 and the MM EFS.. Finishred a unprecedented solid carbide endmill family. The Finishred carbide endmill is a union of both roughing and finishing endmills in a single tool. Roughing endmills remove material from work pieces more swiftly and adeptly than ordinary endmills. However, roughing endmills leave grooves on the machined surface. Hence, after using a roughing endmill, a finishing endmill has to be used in order to obtain a flat surface finish. This means time-consuming tool change, setup time and necessity of maintaining 2 endmill types in the inventory.
Features of the Finishred Endmills:
The EFR.. B44 and the MM EFS.. endmills feature four flutes with 45 degree helix, 2 serrated flutes and two continuous flutes.
The cutting edges of the finishing flutes are radially further from the tool axis than the cutting edges of the serrated flutes. The finishing flutes eliminate the grooves caused by the roughing flutes, leaving a smooth surface finish.
The tool is fully capable and enables running at rough machining parameters, resulting in finish surface quality.
The exceptional tool design moderates vibration at high load applications.
The tool creates short and long chips concurrently. This chip mixture is evacuated more effectively than each individual chip type, an excellent solution in slotting and cavity milling applications.
The Finishred is also presented with the Multi-Master indexable milling head option which combines the Finishred incorporates with the advantage of little setup time, no regrinding costs and the extensive range of shank and extension choices are available for the Multi-Master milling heads.
A single tool substitutes the roughing and finishing endmills; therefore decreasing stock.
Tool change and setup time can be disregarded.
An extra tool position is gained on the machine
New Chip Splitting Solid Carbide Endmills for increased Metal Removal Rates
ISCAR is introducing the ECP-3/4L family of chip splitting endmills. The brand new endmills are available with 3 and 4 38 degree flutes in grade IC900. They feature 2xD and long shanks with diminished neck diameter, which facilitate machining along high shoulders, at high feeds. These endmills, due to their chip splitting ability and force distribution can be used very effectively on reduced power machines (CAT40/BT40/ISO40). The serrated cutting edge features flat peaks which leave a better surface finish, in contrast to the current rougher carbide endmill. The ECP endmills are recommended for machining austenitic and martensitic stainless steel, at up to 2xD depth of cut. They can be used on alloyed steel as well. All of the introductory tests conducted at many customers' locations showed extraordinary results.

A Variety Of Progressions Have Extended Iscar's Families Of Indexable Endmills For Heightened Productivity Helido-Upfeed 04 Two years ago Iscar introduced the extremely efficient H600 indexable endmill line, based on conceptually new Helido-Upfeed double sided inserts with 6 cutting edges. The first insert launched was the H600 WXCU 0806..., which was designed for milling cutters in the diameter range of 50 to 125 mm.
Brand New Cutters And Carbide Insert Arrangements From Iscar To Better The Machining Process Iscar is introducing Penta 34 carbide inserts with a new PB chipformer. The PB chipformer features a single cavity with a positive rake, neutral shoulder angle, and a honed edge. It is actually a C-type chipformer with a different frontal edge.
A Few Of Improvements In Carbide Inserts From Iscar From Over The Last Decade Iscar is introducing a new unique milling system with tangential, clamped, butterfly-shaped LNKX carbide inserts. The butterfly-shaped insert has significant advantages compared to the current flat, square shapes. The new geometry has more cutting edges, positive rake face, reduced cutting forces resulting in higher performance.
Completely New End Mills By Iscar Can Expand Productivity While Decreasing Costs Manufacturers and die & mold shops can banish chatter problems in numerous milling operations with Iscar's new Chatterfree end mills. The cutters' variable-pitch flute pattern eliminates harmonic vibration, the primary source of chatter. This enables faster cutting and finer finish in rough or finish slotting, shoulder milling and cavity milling.
